With separation and refinement technologies, impurities can be removed from water and various grades of purity can be achieved with the possibility of recycle. Boiler drainage water can be recycled, thus cutting heat energy cost; semiconductor and crystalline washing drainage can be recycled reducing the cost for ultra-clean water production; furthermore, it is also possible that silicon and other valuable resources can be retrieved and reused, thus addressing economic concerns while meeting the demands of environmental regulations as well.
With this system, silicon can be retrieved and recycled from silicon ingot processing wastewater and the treated wastewater can also be recycled.
